Glossary

The words HI Engine uses, and what each one means precisely.

Action — the internal name for an idea once it is in the build queue. You see it as a task.

Agent — a scheduled process that reads one source and writes insights. There is one per source: Shopify, GA4, Click Context, Klaviyo.

A/B test — a split of your traffic between the current experience and an approved change, run until the difference is measurable or clearly absent. See A/B tests.

Backlog — where a task goes when you reject a build. The idea survives; the implementation attempt is discarded.

Block — a configurable element inside a Shopify section, with its own theme editor settings. HI Engine builds blocks rather than opaque code.

Confidence — how much the data behind an idea can carry. Part of the TRICE score. See How impact is estimated.

Dismissed — a final rejection of an idea itself, not of a build. HI Engine does not re-propose a dismissed idea.

Draft theme — a complete copy of your live theme with an approved change applied. Customers never see it. Publishing it is your action, in Shopify.

Estimated impact — money per month, computed from your own sessions, conversion rate and average order value. A ranking device, not a forecast.

Evidence — the numbers behind an idea, with source, date range and sample size attached.

Idea — one proposed change, on one surface, with evidence and an estimate. The unit you approve. See Ideas.

Insight — a dated, sourced observation about your store. Not yet a job. See Insights.

Preview — either the mockup on an idea, or the draft-theme link on a finished build. The second is the one you review.

Rage click — several rapid clicks on the same element, the signature of something that looks interactive and is not responding.

Review card — the Slack message carrying a finished build, its preview link and the three decision buttons. See Review cards.

Section — a self-contained, reorderable part of a Shopify page, with its own theme editor settings.

Theme Check — Shopify's own validator for theme code. Every HI Engine build must pass it before it reaches you.

TRICE — the five-part score that ranks ideas: Traffic, Revenue, Implementation ease, Confidence, Expected time to a result.
